The poor man dance

1 The poor man dance

When a poor man dance, he sways sideways

Trying to grab, on empty chances

Stretching his hands, to pick the pieces

Spreading his body, to alleviate pain

And when he falls, he never gets up

When a poor man dance, he make tiny jumps

Folding his hands, to cover his head

Dreading the fall, fearing the pain

Missing the view, on the other side

And when he jumps, he get down fast

When a poor man dance, he keep bowing

Because life spirals, on downward trend

He keep remembering, life at the bottom

His arms are slagged, and his body’s weak

And he will keep bowing, never to look up

A poor man swings, like a bellydancer

Side to side, like a rolling boat

He  feed today, he clothe tomorrow

He shelter on Monday, educate on Tuesday

It’s never enough, for a single moment

When a rich man dance, he jumps upwards

To get a glimpse, of life ahead

Never afraid, to stumble and fall

Spreading his hands, to reach out the dream

And when he jumps, he never gets down

When a rich man dance, he does with vigor

He will swing sideways, and pick opportunities

He will jump up, and keep moving up

He will bow down, just to pick the others

And he will never again, dance like a poor man
