Eliminating poverty, filling their bellies Educating orphans, treating destitute Preserving environment, conserving wildlife Sheltering families, clothing children I am only me, I can’t change everyone
I want to feed, and feed others I need to learn, and educate others I wish to heal, and cure the sick I yearn for love, and love others I am only me, I can’t change the world
Here I am, imagining my future Here I sit, worrying my present Here I regret, all about my past And only wish, to find myself I am only me, I can’t change my past
As I sit now, punching the keys As I think through, thousands of thoughts As I start to feel, the sting in my heart I can glimpse now, and see it clearly I am only me, I can’t change my world
I will build businesses, give jobs Offer charity, pay tax Build schools, grow hospitals Build my world, change the world I am only me, I will make money. |
